The MEDI 8, like all our products in the Medi series, is equipped with a G3-Hepa-Carbon and UV-C filter. The MEDI 8 is stylish and very compact. The round display provides all the necessary information, such as air quality, fan position and humidity. The MEDI 8 is easy to operate using the push buttons on the machine and/or a remote control.When the fine dust content in the room is too high, the ring on the display changes colour to blue, green, orange and red (high dust), and the machine itself reacts in terms of air speed and capacity.
The maximum capacity of the MEDI 8 is 800 m³ per hour and suitable for all kinds of rooms. Here, you can think of meeting rooms, classrooms, day-care centres, day-care centres, offices. in fact, too many to mention.
To calculate the right Medi-series cleaner in a normal utility room (i.e. not in a train-tram bus or aircraft *), we apply the rule that we want to refresh the entire room every 15 minutes.
We calculate the capacity as follows: LxWxH
(volume of the room) x 4 (L length, W width, H height)
This gives the capacity of the Medi series air purifier to be used.
A margin upwards of about 20% is desirable.
All air purifiers in the MEDI series work on the same principle.
By meansof a fan, we set the air in motion. The air passes through a coarse filter (G3-G4), HEPA main filter (H10-H13) , carbon filter and UV-C filter back into the room. The combination of a HEPA filter with a UV-C filter gives 99% filtration, for dust as well as bacteria & viruses.
The room-by-room recirculation system has many advantages over air exchange.

About UV radiation: There are three types of UV radiation: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. Here, the A at UV-A stands for 'aging', as it mainly causes skin ageing. The B at UV-B stands for 'burning', because UV-B rays cause your skin to burn. UV-C radiation is used to modify DNA structures of viruses and bacteria, among others.
